I can't believe our sweet little baby is now a 1 year old! Crazy how fast that first year went. We had a great celebration of Riley with friends and family at our house. It was a little sheriff/western theme - though Riley refused his hat, oh well. All in all there were 7 kids and 19 adults to help us celebrate. We are blessed to have friends and family in such close proximity! We opened gifts and quickly learned that the opened gift needed to disappear in order for another gift to be opened. Riley was blessed with LOTs of stuff - this close after Christmas we are now figuring out where to put it all! We then moved onto cake - what a show! Riley LOVED it and quickly learned 2 hands are better than one. At one point I had to remove the cake for fear of him getting too sick. All in all it was a wonderful celebration. We are so thankful to all of those that were here - we are blessed by the roles you play in Riley's life. Until next year...

After the party and while he was in the midst of "extra" energy from his cake, Nate and I turned around from cleaning up and saw Riley coming around the corner with a surprise for us...

AW, happy birthday! Looks like it was a fun time! Good theme! :) That was our plan for our little buckaroo.(too funny about the TP...we have yet to have that happen...suppose it wont at this point, maybe next time around =) )
